Vice President of Research Sales
Reports to: Mario Shane
Department: Research Sales
Location: Dallas, TX

We are seeking a candidate for the position of Vice President of Research Sales. Candidates must currently hold a series 7 license and have a college degree. A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in the financial industry is required in addition to excellent oral and written communication skills. Thorough follow-up and relationship building skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities include growing research related business primarily in a geographic region and activities will consist of marketing research services to the investment management community and increasing trading activity along with the following:

- Open new accounts through the use of both referrals and cold calls.
- Maintain existing accounts through personal interaction and working in a team environment. - Expected to be "on the road" seeing accounts and prospects at least 15% of the time.
- The purpose of sales related travel in regard to both existing and prospective accounts is to build relationships, uncover needs and ultimately to open new accounts and to retain and increase business with existing accounts.
- Keep current on changes in the industry in regards to compliance and regulatory issues, competitive forces, technology changes and research services.
- Maintain a high level of communication with your team, support staff, trading desk and management in regard to existing and prospective client needs.
- Provide input and guidance to management and team members concerning new product ideas.
- Maintain and update client/prospect database.
- Implement management strategies and objectives as communicated, including Credit Policy Action and product specific goals.
- Responsible for any projects or tasks delegated by Director of Research Sales or the Chief Operating Officer.

 

Staff Accountant
Reports to: Ann Sebert
Department: Accounting
Location: Dallas, TX

We are seeking a candidate for a staff accountant with a minimum of 2 years experience in accounting. Accounting internships or other business experience is a plus. Ideally you will be detail oriented, have an ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and possess excellent communication and Microsoft Excel skills. A bachelor's degree from a four year university with an emphasis in Accounting is required.

Responsibilities include handling the trading reconciliation process within our Correspondent Trading Department. The primary focus of the job is working with our network of outside broker/dealers. This includes a complex reconciliation of detailed trade activity prior to processing trades into our internal accounting system and assisting with month end closing. In addition to general Ledger account reconciliation and other special projects.

 

Compliance Manager
Reports to: Kelly Abernathy
Department: Compliance
Location: Dallas, TX

We are seeking a candidate for Compliance Manager/or Examiner who has experience in the supervision of both regulatory and internal trading department compliance procedures. Ideally, your experience will include knowledge of OATS, TRACE, ACT and MSRB reporting. You should have a familiarity with FINRA, SEC and state securities regulations, currently hold at least your series 7 and 24 licenses, series 9 and 10 is preferred or willingness to obtain within 180 days and have a Bachelors degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities include the management and supervision of regulatory compliance issues for both the fixed income and equity trading desks. This includes: the maintenance of compliance and supervisory policies andprocedures; the monitoring and documentation of adherence to policies and procedures and company Code of Ethics; supervision of all client and counter-party reporting requirements; the maintenance of employee registrations with regulatory authorities; and interaction with external auditors.

 

Product Manager - Performance Reporting
Reports to: Alan Head
Department: Research
Location: Dallas, TX

Our ideal candidate would have:

- Bachelor's degree
- Series 7 & 63 licenses (preferred but not required)
- 4+ years experience in the financial industry
- Strong communication skills - both oral and written
- Attention to detail
- Analytical skills with strong mathematical skills
- Self-motivation skills
- Extremely proficient in MS Excel

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting product/service offerings related to transaction cost analysis and performance reporting. Candidate needs to be capable of working well under pressure with tight deadlines, while providing quality service.

Responsibilities include:

- Producing quarterly reports and assisting clients and the sales team with analysis of commission spend
- Maintaining database for both clients and prospects, ensuring consistency and accuracy of data
- Managing all aspects of the performance reporting product
- Developing new and innovative ideas for product development and enhancement
- Providing miscellaneous ad hoc analysis
- Attending industry conferences as needed or requested by immediate manager
- Staying informed of industry trends and client needs to enhance product offerings
