Kristi Wetherington Named CEO Of Capital Institutional Services
Firm Founder Don Potts to Remain as Chairman of the Board

Dallas, TX - May 23, 2006-Capital Institutional Services (CAPIS), one of the industry's top agency-only institutional brokerages and independent research providers, has promoted Kristi Wetherington to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Wetherington presently serves as the firm's president.

Ms. Wetherington's promotion marks the firm's transition to the next generation of family leadership as she succeeds her father, Don C. Potts, who has served as Chairman and CEO since he founded CAPIS in 1977. Mr. Potts will continue in his role as Chairman of the Board.

"I am very pleased to announce Kristi's promotion to CEO," said Mr. Potts. "As president of CAPIS, Kristi has done an outstanding job of running the day-to-day operations of the firm, growing the business and positioning CAPIS for the future. We are one of the few remaining fully independent brokerage firms in the country. I am confident that under Kristi's leadership, we will continue to deliver the level of independent and conflict-free execution that our clients have come to rely upon."

"Thirty years ago, my father founded CAPIS with a view toward providing institutional clients the best in trading execution and quality independent research. Since that time, we have expanded our solutions to include program trading, transition management and commission recapture services. Thanks to his foresight and our commitment to best practices in the research commission arena, we are well-positioned to thrive in an industry headed toward greater disclosure and transparency. My goal as CEO is to build upon the success of what my father established and to seize the opportunities ahead in an industry that is undergoing significant change," she added.

Ms. Wetherington joined CAPIS in 1993 as an electronic trading specialist. Two years later, she was promoted to Assistant Vice President for the compliance department to oversee legal issues related to self regulatory organization rules and procedures. In 1996, Ms. Wetherington became the director of the department as well as the Senior Vice President. In 2001, she was elected President by the company's Board of Directors. Prior to CAPIS, Ms. Wetherington worked as a brokerage representative for Fidelity Investments in Dallas, Texas. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, she is an active member of the Young President's Organization. Ms. Wetherington holds series 7, 63, 8, 4, 24, and 14 licenses.
