Financial Information, Inc. (FII) has been a provider of Financial Actions data and Transfer Services to the securities industry for more than 75 years.

 
FEATURES

FINANCIAL ACTION SERVICES
Each FII Financial Action Service transaction includes all the details needed to process a security, including full description, CUSIP ®, price, complete agent address with phone numbers, effective data, certificate numbers, etc., and a brief summary of the action taken or proposed.

FII's Financial Actions Services consists of the following five products:

  • Daily Card Service (Reorganization) contains information on corporate reorganization activity such as stock splits, name changes, rights offers, mergers, purchase/exchange offers, liquidations, bankruptcies, distributions, and more.
  • Called Bond Service provides coverage on Corporate, Convertible, Sinking Fund, Invitation to Tender and Municipal Called Bonds. FII supplies Certificate Numbers as part of its on-line called bond transactions.
  • Put Option Service covers optional and mandatory types of puts on all securities that have a put feature. FII's data include first and last notification dates (not days) and the next put date. FII confirms each put prior to final publication.
  • Retired CMO & MBS Issues Service provides data on retiring CMO and MBS issues. FII's data include the original maturity date, the most recent payment date, the effective interest per $1,000 original face, and the prior principal factor reported.
  • Warrant Service complies daily information on new and existing U.S. and Canadian warrants, providing data on both new stock purchase warrants and those that have undergone a change in terms or dates. FII's data include the basis of exercise, exercise price, and any change in exercise terms.

TRANSFER SERVICES

  • Stock Guide Service (the "Stock Transfer Bible") provides the essential information for stock transfer, covering both active and obsolete securities.
  • Bond Guide Service provides the essential information for transferring both corporate and municipal bonds.

The Stock Guide and Bond Guide Services are available in both printed and on-line versions. The print version includes monthly supplements, while the on-line services are available with daily or monthly updates. The on-line versions are available through Computer-to-Computer or FII's On-Line Inquiry System.


OTHER SERVICES

  • International Corporate Actions & Pricing Service provides international data on dividends, capital changes, bids and mergers, company news, and pricing as gathered and distributed by Valorinform and Extel Financial.
  • CUSIP provides an On-Line CUSIP Inquiry System which is integrated with FII's On-Line Inquiry System. All data currently available in the CUSIP Directory are available on-line from FII. Clients may access by description, full/partial issue, dated date, yield, maturity, name change, etc.

 
DELIVERY

ON-LINE DELIVERY OPTIONS

  • Computer-to-Computer (CCF) Download enables clients to download data from FII's systems directly to the client's mainframe. FII supports all standard communication protocols, including both Remote Job Entry (RJE) and Network Job Entry (NJE).
  • Personal Computer (PC) Download/FDMS allows the client to download and process Domestic Corporate Actions and International Corporate Actions and Pricing. FII also has written a PC-based reorganization processing system called the Financial Data Management System (FDMS). This system will automatically download data from FII, DTC, and other data providers. It may also report on any changes in account holdings, run an automated called bond lottery, generate client notification letters, and track client responses for voluntary actions.
  • FII On-Line Inquiry System (FIIOIS) allows users to dial into the FII database via PC and access all data available in the Financial Actions, Transfer, and CUSIP On-Line Inquiry services. FII's Fixed Screen Interface provides automated database log-on and pull-down menus with on-line, context-sensitive help.
