The First Rate Performance system, also known as FRP, is the First Rate software that
seamlessly integrates with any trust accounting system providing AIMR compliant performance
calculations, attribution analysis and customized, full color portfolio reports and
client presentations.
- The First Rate Performance system offers significant differences to existing industry
performance measurement systems, combining a menu driven user interface with a powerful
reporting and data analysis engine. Today, FRP is used to track more than 80,000 portfolios
by several prominent institutional money management firms, including four of the five largest
banks in the US.
- First Rate attributes the popularity of the software to three fundamental elements of the
business: the powerful reporting capabilities of the First Rate Performance system, exceptional
client support and a dedication to providing fast, dynamic solutions customized for each
institutional client.
- The comprehensive reports included in FRP are accented by a powerful custom report writer
to give investment managers an arsenal of different graphs and portfolio data, invaluable for
explaining portfolio diversification and performance. Depending on the configuration of the
accounting system, these reports are usually available by the third business day following
month-end.
- First Rate has a staff of financial programmers and analysts who are experts in the
performance measurement industry. With an average of 8 years experience in institutional
accounting practices and performance reporting, each member of the First Rate staff offers
clients knowledgeable experience. As part of client support, First Rate develops and maintains
a relationship with each institution, visiting the client site at least twice annually.
- The goal of First Rate Investment Systems is to provide the client with a solution that

standardized software package, First Rate designs each performance solution according to the
specifications of the client. First Rate provides a performance reporting solution that

client's existing trust accounting system. FRP facilitates automatic data updates on a daily,
weekly or monthly schedule and can convert historical data into a format that provides consistent
returns from the inception of each portfolio. Once the data is in the FRP database, First Rate
designs a solution to provide access to the system from anywhere in the institution. First Rate
Performance license fees are based on the number of portfolios tracked, not the number of users,
so there is no additional licensing cost associated with providing unlimited access to the
performance system.
